Blogging and My Feelings Towards it

In my class we are made to make two blog posts a week which many of us are happy to do and enjoy it, but some of us do not have the same love for it and don't have the necessary equipment to do such a task. I should not have to be forced to do it in my own school class time where I could be doing a much more productive task and have fun while preforming it.

Mrs Hogg says that blogging's purpose is to show our writing to a large audience world-wide, but nobody really looks at my blog anyway and I don't want random people looking at my work. Yes I could advertise and get more views, but honestly, who cares about what I've done? My parents? I'll just show them in person. All the stuff we have to write is hideously boring so if I can't stand to write it, who is gonna stand to read it? It's pointless.

Not many people in our class actually like blogging (specifically the girls like it) so why should we be forced to do it if it doesn't have much of a benefit and we get zero fun out of it.

In a way I kind of enjoyed writing this post which goes against my words, but I'm expressing my hate towards it in a way I'm telling you my feelings not writing a stupid blog post. Want me to do 5 more posts? Sweet! More times to write about my feelings towards class. I know for a fact many people would find this post interesting so I hope you do. I know someone who will not.

I have better things to do then write a blog post.

Weather Poem!

This is a weather poem I made in class!

Do you like the wind?
It takes all the warmth out of your body and leaves you cold,
but blows your life in great directions.
It is the path.
Do you like the rain?
It soaks up your soul and leaves you wet,
but refreshes and gives life to those around.
It is the life giver.
Do you like the sun?
It fry's you up and leaves you burnt,
but gives you the conditions for fun and relaxation.
It is the fun.
Do you like the fog?
It blurs you vision and leaves you blind,
but when it clears, joy is revealed.
It is life's surprises.

Thing don't always seem nice at first,
but like the weather, It will always change.

New Horizons!

NEW HORIZONS!

Hi! Today I will be writing about my New Horizons trip I did last term!

The ride there is twisty and will quickly make anyone sick if you don't look straight forward, still, I continue to talk to the kids in the back. We talk about many things ranging from the latest pop songs to the cows passing by. We realize how unusual it is to have a studio in the middle of no where, but where assume that is what makes it unique. After what seemed like an hour drive, we finally arrive. A small house greets us.

My fingers smashing on the keyboard make wonderful sounds. All the sounds are collected in one computer where they are piled up to make a big heap of fine music. Singers are in the mute room, their instruments are their mouths. The Drummer is in the loud room where sounds are reflected off wall to prevent sounds from escaping in to outsiders ears. The Drummers instrument is their drums and sticks. The Guitarist's fingers pick and strings which wobble and shake, these sound are emitted from a speaker in to a mic that sends he sounds to the pile. The Guitarist's instrument is the strings. My instrument is the keys in which when pressed emit unique melody's.

A new set of children are in the car now. This time crazy and erratic. They poke there heads out the window shouting at passer-byes! And the laughing! Oh the laughing was enough to drive a grown man crazy! But luckily i am not a grown my and thought this was hilarious also. My dad on the other hand looked he was in a bubble that blocked out all sound; he looked like he couldn't hear a word!
This all had to end because we had reached our destination. Another two days of this? I've got a long ride ahead of me!

The Block Reflection

Around week 3, Aranui had a big event called "The Block". It was part of or unit of inquiry. "How we organize ourselves." It was a challenge event where we had multiple things to do to score points for our team of around ten people. They ranged from physical to mental and teamwork challenges.

We first, in our groups, had to answer questions based on random things. eg. Who directed the hobbit? Our team came last, but we were determined to push on.

Next we were told to set up our tents where we would eat our food and hang out whenever there wasn't a challenge. One of us had brought a gazebo so tried we put that up. Our team did NOT work well together! But, nevertheless or team came third which put us ahead.

Tug of war was next, but we knew we didn't have the strongest of people. we still tried anyway... we didn't win, but we didn't lose (we came 6th equal with everyone who lost, so technically we lost).

After break, which was normal snack food from our bags, one of the hardest challenges was coming up... the mental challenge... where we had to hold our backs against a wall with our feet in front like we were sitting on a chair that isn't there. We all had turns (whenever someone gave up, someone else would be beside them to take their position) and it was surprisingly hard; it was a defiantly test of mental skill. I'm not sure what place we came, but it wasn't last.

Then was my favorite bit, eating time! Our group had brought drinks, chips, Lamingtons, hot dogs and a lot of Oreos. We all had a go at the food. We thought that it wasn't going to last! When I was full there was still plenty of food. It all got chucked, but it was well worth it.

Our them had not the best people physical and teamwork wise, but we still fought on, but in the end our placing was...

Last.

It still was a great experience and was still great fun.

Literacy Review

http://www.kwarp.com/portfolio/grammarninja.html
This game is called "Grammar Ninja".

This game was fun to play and had multiple levels for people with low or higher knowledge of grammar.

This game was surprisingly fun for something about grammar!

This game is aimed at mostly children learning how to read/write with more advanced knowledge of words.

You need to know basic knowledge of grammar and how to read.

It could be made better by having a tutorial about how grammar works.

Thank you for reading my review
